Back 2 Basics Cooking Club for Kids

Welcome to Back 2 Basics Cooking! We are so excited to offer a kids culinary cooking club based in Columbia, Missouri, designed with budding young chefs in mind. Our classes are led by Chef Ashley who's passionate about introducing children (and adults) to the joys of cooking.

Our goal is to provide a fun, engaging environment where your child can learn valuable culinary skills. We believe that every child can benefit from learning how to cook for a multitude of reasons. It not only promotes healthy eating habits but also helps develop creativity, patience, teamwork, and a sense of pride in their independence. Cooking, in all of its various forms, is a useful life skill for anyone who eats, and you are never too young to start learning!

 

Chef Ashley understands the challenges that come with teaching kids new skills. She creates a supportive environment where children feel comfortable trying new tasks, always ensuring they never feel overwhelmed. And don't worry, parents- we get it! Sometimes, the kitchen can get a little messy when kids are learning, but that's all part of the process. No need to stress about a little mess!

Class Details

These classes are suitable for children aged 7-15 years old. Each class is held in a commercial kitchen where each junior chef will prepare something delicious. No prior cooking knowledge is necessary, and parents are welcome to stay and observe. You will receive a digital copy of all recipes we prepare after the class.

Each class runs from 11:20 AM to 12:45 PM and costs $55 per child. Adults do not need a ticket to this class as they will just be observing. Please note that if a class does not show up on our booking calendar, it means it's sold out. We keep our class sizes small to ensure the best experience for everyone.
