01

Fowler Allergy

Dr. Fowler graduated from Medical School at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After finishing a residency in Pediatrics, she became one of only two people in the country selected for an Allergy and Rhinology fellowship, sponsored by the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. After completion of her fellowship, she was given a dual appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery (Division of Otolaryngology), as well as the Department of Child Health. Dr. Fowler is highly regarded for her work in both pediatric and adult allergy management, as well as for her understanding of food allergies. Dr. Fowler has a firm belief that "whole body health" is the key to making people feel their best. This includes not only good allergy management, but also healthy nutrition, exercise, and limiting excess chemical exposures.  Also, she is the reason I started out on this journey to better my diet!

Sullivan Farms

Sullivan Farms is a family owned business. Their farm is based off a permaculture design. It emphasizes farming naturally, working with nature to minimize work. They currently grow a wide variety of vegetables, raise chickens, pigs and have milk goats. They do not use any pesticides, or any sprays on their farm. Their food is worth every penny! They can be found at the Columbia Farmer's Market most Saturday's from 8 to Noon during the months the market is outdoors and 9 to Noon during the colder most when the market is located at Parkade Plaza.

03

Alati Meadows

Altai Meadows is a family farm located in north-central Missouri near the small town of Higbee. The family is dedicated to the production of quality grass-fed, grass-finished beef in a manner that respects our environment and our animals. The animals are moved to fresh pasture on a daily basis to provide exceptional foraging conditions while continuously improving our pastures. The beef is naturally and humanely raised without added hormones or antibiotics. They also leave out the chemical wormer and the multitude of vaccine injections.  That’s why their beef is so clean.  Grass-finished beef and farm fresh eggs and pastured chickens are available for purchase at the farm and at the Columbia Farmers Market in Columbia, Missouri.  Farm tours are also available by appointment.

04

Patchwork Farms

Patchwork Family Farms is composed of 15 independent family hog farmers who want to bring their product to you, the consumer. When you purchase a Patchwork product, the money directly supports Missouri farm families. They have been recognized by the USDA, EPA and Oxfam America for their efforts to help the environment and sustain the traditions of rural communities. They are located at 1108 Rangeline Street, Columbia, Missouri 65201.

05

Lage Farms

Lage Farms raises grass fed/grass finished and also all natural, finished on vegetarian diet, Wagyu(Kobe)beef. No growth hormones or antibiotics ever administered or fed. Our goal is to provide the healthiest, tastiest beef possible. Grass fed beef done right. Our animals are raised in a natural environment, in a humane manner. The health benefits of grass fed beef are widely understood, but the healthy properties, exclusive to the Wagyu breed, are less known. Studies by Texas A&M and Washington State University found that Wagyu's contain up to three times the amount of monounsaturated fats than other breeds. The studies also show significantly higher amounts of Omega 3 fatty acids. Our Fullblood Wagyu, registered cows and bulls, from the highest marbling Tajima bloodlines from Japan, are the source of our "tastiest" beef.
